How exact age works
Counting full years, months and days avoids the error of dividing days by 365.25. For example, someone born on June 15, 1990 turns 36 on June 15, 2026 and is "36 years, 4 months and 2 days" on October 17, 2026.

Your age goes up by one on each birthday. The calculator counts full years, then full months, then remaining days between your birth date and the 'age on' date.
What if I was born on February 29?
In non-leap years this calculator treats February 28 as your birthday. Legal rules differ by state and country (some use March 1), so check the rule that applies if it matters for a deadline.
Can I calculate age on a past or future date?
Yes. Change the 'Age on' date, for example to check eligibility age on a specific deadline.
